Erawan Waterfalls & River Kwai Bridge Tour
Spend a full day out exploring Erawan National Park and the River Kwai Bridge. The first stop is at the marvelous 7-tier Erawan Waterfalls, where you will have the whole morning to hike all the way up to the top or maybe just to lower tiers. The crystal clear waters are great for a swim if you want to cool off during your hike.
After such a rewarding hike, you will stop for lunch near the Erawan Waterfalls and catch your breath for a while. The next stop is the River Kwai Bridge in Kanchanaburi, known for its association with the Pierre Boulle novel “The Bridge over the River Kwai” and David Lean’s film adaptation of the novel. Australian, Dutch and British prisoners of war were forced by the Japanese to construct two parallel bridges spanning a river as part of the Burma Railway, also called the Railway of Death, for the many lives lost in its construction.
After such a physically intense day it’s time to relax at the van and start your way back to Bangkok.
